Our tools are designed to replace bloated, outdated industry software with fast, intuitive, and scientifically rigorous alternatives. --- ## Our Story Geology software in industry is notoriously difficult to use. Decades of incremental updates, legacy interfaces, and corporate compromise have left many tools in an unintuitive state. We are geologists with years of wellsite experience. Instead of accepting poor tooling, we decided to rebuild from the ground up. Our work condenses real-world field experience, modern software practices, and strong technical opinions into tools that prioritize clarity, speed, and correctness. This is a classic David-versus-Goliath situation — but we are not seeking handouts or special treatment. We believe superior tools, built with care and conviction, win on their own merit. --- ## Products ### ClinoScope ClinoScope is a precision hardware device designed to make geological mapping pleasant and seamless. Originally built for structural geology, its physical knob interface makes it suitable for mapping nearly anything that can be measured in the field. ClinoScope integrates an IMU for on-device strike and dip measurements, along with GPS for accurate location and precise timing. The result is fast, reliable data capture without breaking field workflow. --- ### Stresslog Stresslog is an open-source Python package for geomechanics, available on PyPI. It provides robust tools for stress analysis and subsurface interpretation and supports industry-standard data formats, including DLIS. Stresslog is actively used in professional workflows and has been formally published in the *Journal of Open Source Software* (September 2025), reflecting its scientific and technical credibility. Source code and documentation are publicly available. --- ### StressApp (Mobile & Desktop) StressApp is a pair of Streamlit-based applications demonstrating end-to-end geomechanics workflows using Stresslog. These apps focus on real-world usage with industry-standard well log files. For practical reasons, the hosted apps accept LAS files, but the underlying Stresslog package fully supports DLIS and other formats.
